Coach Pete was born and raised in Mount Holly, NJ where he was a four year varsity letter winner in swimming at Rancocas Valley Regional High School. He then moved on to the University of Delaware where he won 4 varsity letters as a member of the men’s swim team, earned a BS in Exercise Science and stayed for an MS in Biomechanics. Along the way, Pete was always involved in coaching swimming with various teams/programs.
Coach Pete moved to San Diego in 2009 and began coaching with Pacific Swim. That run lasted from 2009-2013, during this time he learned a ton from his peer coaches and administrative leaders. During this time, he learned the ropes of San Diego Imperial Swimming, made many great personal connections and got to watch a ton of amazing swims.
In 2013, he moved on to his first head coach position in the club setting with the Pacific Athletic Club. In 2020, Coach Pete stepped away from a program that produced swimmers who perennially competed at the national level and reunited with his lifelong friend Coach Dan to press the needle forward with Pacific Swim.
